Rory G

Rory Geoghegan

Rory joined the Centre for Social Justice in 2017 as Head of Criminal Justice. Rory has previously worked in strategy at PwC and started working on criminal justice while at the Institute for Government. His criminal justice policy experience is blended with frontline practice, spending five years as a police officer working across response, neighbourhoods and gangs in the Metropolitan Police.

Rory is passionate about tackling crime head on, intervening early, and ensuring that we develop an approach to criminal justice that seizes opportunities to tackle the root causes of crime. The creation and maintenance of sustainable employment is a key element and is delighted to support the work of Clean Sheet in connecting responsible employers with individuals eager to turn their backs on crime.

Rory regularly writes and appears in the media, across the Daily Telegraph, The Spectator, FT, Evening Standard and the BBC. He also regularly presents at conferences on criminal justice and policing.

“It’s great to be able to support Clean Sheet and the work they do helping connect responsible employers with individuals eager to turn their backs on crime.”
